Shala Monroque and I decided to be naughty and skip a few shows during New York Fashion Week to go see “The Help”. Such an amazing story and beautiful performances by Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. It was a first for me to see a movie in the middle of the day, and then head straight to a fashion show. Which reminded me that we pick up inspiration from so many different places. Shala’s magical dress is by Miu Miu.

I love this dress! I was wondering how the Miu Miu collection would look on real people, and actually it works pretty well if it is worn in a modern way (more than the fourties look from the runway).
