INSTALLATION BY SØLVE SUNDSBØ

Tonight the incredible photographer Sølve Sundsbø showed his new installation in collaboration with W Magazine, hosted by Stefano Tonchi, and I was there. Two 53 ft/16 m tall screens were placed parallel on each side of  a big open space, showing the moving installation featuring Lara Stone in bits and pieces with various styling and effects. It was extremely intricate and I was sure it must have taken weeks to film all the pieces, but to my surprise Sundsbø told me he filmed it all in a single day. And in a couple of days there will be an app with the installation coming out available on iTunes.

BARING IT

The first day of New York Fashion Week wasn’t too cold, so I wore this sweet little sweater, “little” being the key word. As you see I am baring my stomach which is something I thought I would never do again after the Spice Girls era. But hey, like Justin Bieber says: Never say never. Sweater by Opening Ceremony, pants by Acne, gloves by Ralph Lauren and bag Monica Chiang.

I SEE STARS

Erin Wasson looking fabulous wearing a great pair of vintage pants. They remind me of Acne’s SS12 collection, love love!

PAJAMA

I had so much fun doing this story for Vogue.com, there is something very intriguing about using a greatly cut pajama as daywear, but it has to be done right so you don’t look like you just stepped out to get breakfast and is on your way back to bed again.

IT’S PINK!

I am so glad I finally got this pink Proenza Schouler long sleeved T. I had been drooling over it at Net-a-porter for the longest time and never got myself to actually purchase it. I love wearing it with something white underneath. And it’s ridiculous how many different combos I am getting out of these plum colored Rag & Bone jeans. Plum is the new blue! Coat in by-product sheepskin fur by Sandro, shirt, bag and sunglasses by Acne and necklace by Camilla Prytz.

Photographs by Patrick Demarchelier © Patrick Demarchelier

I can just look at these images forever. The breathtaking and yet simple Haute Couture creations from SS-48 and SS-08. The amazing Partick Demarchelier has collaborated with Dior and made a book with a retrospective on Dior Haute Couture collections from the first show in 1947 to today. The designs created by Christian Dior himself and his successors,Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan and John Galliano are all in the book.

LONG LOST LOVE

This jacket makes me so happy, I love wearing pastel yellow. But sadly it’s not often that I see great pieces made in one of my favorite colors. My love for pastel yellow started when I was about 12 or 13 years old and went on holiday in the south of France with my family. We stopped by the lovely city Aix en Provence, I passed by a shop with a pastel yellow dress in the window and had to go in. I fell in love but the money I had would only get me ice cream and the dress was impossible to convince my parents to buy with parts of the holiday budget. I was sure I would be able to forget it, but even today I think about it. Perhaps my new Acne jacket will help me forget. Gloves by Dents and scarf by Marc Jacobs.
