After seeing lots of head to toe prints for a while I wanted to find a way to use these pieces without the other half, a way to get more milage out of them. You can see the entire story here at Vogue.com. In the top image I am wearing a cropped Calvin Klein Top, J.W. Anderson skirt, Stella McCartney bag, Phillip Lim shoes and Selima sunglasses. Below I am wearing a shirt by H&M, a vintage belt I found at Screaming Mimi’s, shorts by Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony and a Ralph Lauren Collection bag.
I’m in Nashville of all places, wearing a denim jumpsuit which is the easiest thing to throw on when not up for thinking of what to wear. I’ve been enjoying Nashville for a couple of days and am surprised to realize that there are so many great vintage shops here. Jumpsuit and bag by Stella McCartney, shades by Acne and sandals by Proenza Schouler.
How amazing are her wide and shortly cropped linen pants! I’m a total fan of this girl, she does not really care but has a sense of what fits her body and a great sense of color and interesting cuts. It’s like she fell out of a cool indie movie.
This incredibly cool hair style created by Guido for Miu Miu FW13 was one of my favorites from all the Fall/Winter 13 shows. If it’s too much for you to add lots of gel and swirl the pieces by the ear, it’s easier to have a hairdresser trim them a bit shorter and lighter to create a carefree and easy version of this.
What I love about summer is that you can wear airy, carefree, flowery and fun clothes. I am so ready to rock all my flowery dresses and pairing them up with loafers like lovely Julia Sarr Jamois.
This is my go to summer outfit during periods of unreliable weather. The dress is made of denim which means that it’s sturdy and warm, which is perfect for the chillier summer days. I enjoy adding the top to lots of different outfits, as it adds a more feminine touch because of the cinched waist. Dress and top by Acne, bag by Valentino, shoes by Kurt Geiger.
Raquel Zimmerman has an exceptional presence and is a bit of a master chameleon. Showing the bloopers in this long version makes the entire commercial so endearing.
White and grey-white looks great together, I absolutely love mixing the different shades of the same color in one outfit. Sometimes I also add a creamy white sweater to these pants and jacket, instead of the the orange top. Jeans and bag by Calvin Klein, leather jacket by Acne, top by Tibi, necklace by H&M, sunglasses by Selima.
I was so lucky that Calvin Klein invited me to join them at The Met’s Costume Institute exhibition, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. I was wearing a custom made dress by Francisco Costa. The process of designing the dress was incredible, we had two fittings over a couple of weeks, and seeing Francisco at work is really exceptional. Walking up the red carped I had to zigzag my way up between the photographers on each side, and Italo Zucchelli who’s the Calvin Klein mens wear designer and I agreed it was a lot of fun. Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada’s shares so many similarities, the quirk mixed with chic in their designs. Schiaparelli designed from the 1920’s and I loved getting to understand that people liked quirky at that time too, which is something I had never thought.
Of course I brought my camera and my pictures from the night are up at Calvin Klein’s Tumblr blog here. With more to come.
