ME AND MY MARTIN KIPPENBERGER

I saw this painting by Martin Kippenberger a while back at Moma, and I have been back a few times after that and can’t take my eyes of it. The painting is from a snapshot he did, and then he hired a painter to make it into a painting.

I could not believe my luck when I passed this old couch in the pile of black garbage bags on the street the other day a little north of Soho, so I did my own Kippenberger.

Just run accross this. I would be afraid to sit on this sofa in New York, too many rats!!! Anyway, no one could ever duplicate this image of Martin. What a wonderful artist he was.

Martin Kippenberger was a great source of freedom in art , and I can understand how it went to you to live and try the same experiences, being inspired nby him and want to feel as free as he was.
    nice blog by the way

Hanneli, you are so cute! You definitely still appreciate the whimsy in life, and you seem like a down-to-earth girl, despite your fame and beauty.
