If you’ve read my blog for a while you know how much I love Ada Kokosar’s style, she marches to the beat her own fashion drum and always kills it. I love the combination of the long narrow skirt combined with the straight and boxy shirt, adding the animal printed loafers ties it all so nicely together.

I love to get pieces for my wardrobe that can be used for different looks, like this amazingly cut Acne top that I also wore here. The more looks I can squeeze out of one piece of clothing the better. It gives each look a more personal feel, rather than putting it away after wearing it just a few times. I wonder if we’ll ever feel comfortable wearing the same dress on different occasions, with the same crowd? I’m wearing Rag & Bone Plum colored jeans, turtleneck by Majestic Filatures, sunglasses by Karen Walker, shoes and clutch is by Alexander Wang.
This incredible dress is by Australian brand Lover, you may remember that I have another variation by them that is long in the back, which I wore here. The fun thing about lace is that is so easy to pair up with pieces in sturdier fabrics, like heavy knit or thick felt jackets. After the Indian summer during Paris fashion week I’m ready for fall and layering.
Vanessa Traina is working the grey/silver/pastel-peach nude palette like no other. And I really love her hairdo cause it looks so perfectly effortless, I think she might have used a curling iron in the front pieces and some nutritional oil to gather the ends. What to you think? I really like that it doesn’t look perfectly healthy in a controlled way, less perfect makes it interesting.
These pants are pretty great. They have a pressed fold in the front which makes them that much more interesting. They were a bit too long to wear without heels -I don’t like it when pants bulk up at the bottom – so I hemmed them with double sided tape and it works perfectly. I always have a rescue kit handy where I store safety pins, double sided tape, clamps etc. You never know when you have to do a last minute alteration. Pants by Phillip Lim, Bag by Mulberry, top by Acne, shades by Rag & Bone and shoes by Prada.
I shot these yesterday when I got to see the brand new underline of Balmain, Pierre Balmain. The collection was very cool and French, with perfectly fitted jeans and lots of beautiful jackets. It was very Emmanuelle Alt – which isn’t that surprising considering her husband, Frank Durand, is the creative director for the brand.
