This beauty inspires me to use summer looks for fall, just adding stockings under to keep warm and a few layers of cashmere cardigans under a blazer or a thick jacket over. Another good trick to keep warm and look stylish is Under Armor and wool socks. I also get my winter shoes one size bigger so I can fit a sole of wool as well as wool socks. Do you have any good tricks to stay warm but still look stylish?

I enjoy seeing the gorgeous Caroline Issa’s outfits everyday during fashion week/month. I love the socks sticking up a little over the boots, her tailored jacket with the sweet shirt underneath, the short skirt, the boots ahh.
Tilda Lindstam in a cool ensemble, I love the pattern of her pants and the leopard bag together. There is so much going on that it works really well together. Her father had sewn the Swedish flag on the back of her jacket. Aww!
A perfect white laced shirt that works so well with her hairdo. Update: Sadly I think she is wearing real fur.
Second update: Liz: To say that only vegans are allowed to voice their disapproval of the fur industry is nonsense. These animals are born into captivity, living in the most heartbreaking conditions imaginable, some of them having legs and ears chewed off, for the sole purpose of making luxury products. While I am fully aware that a lot of cows, goats and sheep (not to mention chickens) are living in horrible conditions waiting to become food, I do believe that that is a separate (but equally important) discussion. We gotta change the world one issue at a time, and fur is at the top of my list right now.
If there’s someone who has fun with clothes and patterns it’s Natalie Joos. She also happens to have an amazingly inspiring blog called Tales of Endearment about her friends’ vintage finds around the world.
I love the subtle mint color of my Miu Miu collar, in fact I wish they’d make an entire dress in this color. But hey, the collar is just as good. And these pants that I just got from Screaming Mimi’s – I’m not sure where to start! They are fabulously high waisted, the fabric is beautiful and thick, and the best part is that they stop right above my ankle. All this worn with a Ralph Lauren kable knit.
What I love about fall is that you can just add a pair of stockings and boots to your favorite summer dress and make it work in a different way. Anja Rubik’s bag is just too amazing for words.
This is such a good idea! But I would have saved my Prada knit from this fate if I owned one.
I love fall! This is when all the pretty sweaters can be worn without jackets. Rosy cheeks, fresh cold air, hot chocolate with whipped cream or marshmallows and the heater on full at home. In Norway we’ve had fall for a couple of months (it’s already been snowing there!), but I’m back in New York now, reliving fall and enjoying it to the fullest. Maddie Kulicka picked up her knitted bag at a vintage store, but I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to knit one yourself – KIY.
Julia Sarr Jamois wearing a fun and very cool dress. The colors are so beautiful and unexpected.
