The holidays are coming and I’m not a big fan of matching the colours to whatever holiday it is. For this coming month I’ll automatically wear other things that red. There is enough red everywhere else to enjoy. I love winter white and pastel blue as it feels bright and fresh when gets dark out so early, and what doesn’t look better with those colours than orange! See my Beauty Mark episode where Lindey Wixson joins me in search of the best hue with the help of Vogue’s beauty editor Catherine Piercy.
Here’s a little tease on what’s to come from my Coveteur shoot for Mercedes Benz that is out in January. The first white dress is by Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti, the other white dress but with pink details is by Valentino, my favourite shoes at the moment are these white pony Calvin Klein Collection pumps with brushed gold detail, the very best anklet is a bespoke one by Jennifer Fisher.
It’s been so much fun wearing this lovely dress by Honor to all my meetings and shows today. At one point I was walking on 5th Avenue and felt like I was part of a old movie. New York does that a lot, and especially when the sun makes that perfect movie light that is reflecting in the all the windows on skyscrapers and tall buildings. Bag by Chanel and sunglasses by Oliver Goldsmith.
I wore this dreamy Calvin Klein Collection coat at the Dior FW13 show in Paris with a silver belt also by Calvin Klein Collection, the look probably inspired by this. The bag is by The Row and the shoes are by Acne.

Me at the Marni perfume launch in New York last night. I am wearing Marni head to toe, except for the bow that is self-made, a proper DIY. All you need is a ribbon, skills and patience to make a nice bow, safety pin to fasten it, et voila!

I was asked by Diesel Black Gold to style and model their ss13 collection in their campaign as well as choosing the photographer to shoot it. That was easy, as I have been a fan of Theo Wenner since I saw his story with Lindsey Wikson in the first Style.com print issue. I enjoyed the process of seeing everything come together from viewing the collection in the New York showroom, planning the looks, getting the right hair and makeup people, to seeing it come together on Theo’s camera. Thank you Diesel Black Gold for including me in this project and everyone that worked together to make it happen. And special thank you to Danielle Stewart who were a rockstar organiser throughout the whole process! You can see the rest of the pictures here. Xxx Hanneli

Happy new year my sweet readers! I hope you had a really nice holiday. I have been enjoying some time off and seeing my family and friends in Norway before I go back to New York. Here is a video from Massimo Dutti that I did this summer. I can tell you swimming in the sea with clothes looks better than it actually feels, ha! But filming it was loads of fun. If you have ever seen the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, you might recognize the house in the background.
